How did Grandma make such fine lefse? Find out from Gary Legwold, author of The Last Word on Lefse. He'll show you, and then you'll roll up your sleeves and do it. By the end of the class, you'll be a master.

When: Classes are in early November of each year, usually on Tuesday afternoons and evenings. Look for an announcement in the Taste section of the Star Tribune.

Where: 5205 Knox Ave. South in Minneapolis.

Cost: $30

Equipment: None required. All grills, rolling pins, pastry boards, turning sticks, cooling clothes, bowls, flour, and dough are provided. If you have your own equipment and want to use it in class, you are welcome to do so.

Coffee and treats (and a little music) will be available to sustain you through these two hours of rolling and turning lefse. You are guaranteed to take home lefse--if you can resist the temptation to eat what you make.
