I enjoy writing about businesses and products that I can get behind and support. This is about sales, and I find it fascinating to use writing to bring people to buy. Not to dupe them, but to appeal to their emotions and their common sense that a product will help.

The challenge of writing a persuasive speech, brochure, Web ad, product release, sales letter, trade publication article, report, and white paper that will serve both businesses and customers is uniquely rewarding.

Corporate Newsletters

People like to be proud of their work and their business. Corporate newsletters make people proud. They celebrate success and promote corporate culture. When done right—with humor, balance, and a sense of inclusion of all aspects of the business—newsletters even make people smile. What is that worth, a smile at work?

I have enjoyed writing a newsletter for Reell Precision Manufacturing in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.

The newsletter, called Reell Stories, began after Reell won a business ethics award. Reell Co-CEO Bob Carlson asked if I could help with a “storyletter” that would, over time, serve to define what a special company Reell is. The storyletter shows that the success of a company is best illustrated by the character of its co-workers.
